MEETING OF COMMITTEE. ! The General Committee of the SI. John ' Arrtular.oe Association mot lest night, Mr Arthur E. G. Rhodes presiding. The secretary (Mr C. J. Treleaven) reported that receipts totalled £156 19s Bd, and expenditure £36 17s Bd. The balance to credit at the Union Bar.k was £395 3s, at the Post Office Savings Bank (general account) CUI Is lid. The total to the crcdit of the Motor Ambulance Fund was £175. It was decided to recommend, certain per- • »ons connected with the West Coast sub-cen-trcs for recognition by tho Order of St. John Enpland. i The general secretary of the Order of St. ! John wrote Tegretting that owing to the in- i traduction of national service and tho great : increase in the cost of labour and material?, ' it was found impossible to continue the card index system in connexion with the register ' of successful candidates, but provision would : oe made for the filing of lists of successful randidates if forwarded. The letter was received.
