j BARROW STRIKE CONTINUES. MUNITIONS OUTPUT HELD UP. A GRAVE OUTLOOK. (By Cable—Press Association —Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received March 27th, 5.20 p.m.) LONDON, March 27. Mr Bonar Law, in tho House of Commons, said the strike of the Barrow-in-Furness workers is not over. The Government's offer still remains open. Mr Bonar Law added that tho Government viewed tho interruption in tho production of munitions with tho utmost gravity. A stoppage of work when other methods ©f settlement wero open could not be too strongly deprecated.
Tho Government promised to sccuro a settlement within a week, and that tho award would bo retrospective. Tho trouble arose over tho alleged cutting down of the premium bonus and time allowance.
