Mr Bonar Law added that tho Government viewed tho interruption in tho production of munitions with tho utmost gravity. A stoppage of work when other methods ©f settlement wero open could not be too strongly deprecated.

Tho Government promised to sccuro a settlement within a week, and that tho award would bo retrospective. Tho trouble arose over tho alleged cutting down of the premium bonus and time allowance.
