DURING the Holiday Traffic the S.O a.m. exprees train from Chnstcburcn wxll carry passengers for the following stations only:— , _ December 21st, 25th. 29th, and January Ist and 4th—For stations beyond Timaru only. December *23rd, 26th. and 30th, and Januarv 2nd—For bevond Dnnedin only. December 22nd. 25th, 27th, and January 3rd—For Duncdin and stations beyond only. (On these four dates passengers for Donee in may travel by the 8.0 a.m. expTeas or tne extra express—see below.) The express passengers barred from the ajn. train will travel by extra express trains at the following times: — For stations up to Timaru inclusive on December 21st, 2&th, 29th, and January Isand 4th—Christchurch depart 9.10 a.m., Aahburton 10.57, Timaru arrive 12.20 p.m. tor stations up to Dunedin inclusive, December 22nd, 23rd, 25th. 26th. 27th, 30th, and January 2nd and 3rd —Christchurch depart 9-10 a.m., Ashburton 10.57, Dunedin arrive 6.0 p.m. Dining Car on the 9.10 ajn. extra express on December 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 26th, 27th, and 30th, and January 2nd and 3rd. During tho holiday traffic, the 12.5 p.m. express trajn from Christchurch, Deoember 21st to 23rd inclusive and December 26th to January 3rd inclusive (Sundays excepted), will carry passengers for" beyond Timaru only. The express passengers barred from tho 12.5 p.m. express train will travel by extra express train, leaving Christchurch 12.20 p.m. and arriving Timaru 3.51 p.m. Excursion Ticket® will not be issued for, nor be available by, tho 8.0 a.m. Chriet-ctmrch-Invercargfll express train for stations as specified above for which it does not take passengers. NORTH LINE—Prom 21et Deoember to 3rd January, inclusive (exoept 25th December), the evening train, Christchurch to Rangiora, will stirt at 5.41 p.m. Special night trains, stopping at certain stations only, will run as under between Christchurch and Dunedin : — SATURDAYS, 23rd AND 30th DECEMBER. Leave Christchurch 10.35 p.m., Ashburton 12.27 iwra. (24th and 31st December), Dunedin arrive 7.55 a.m. Leave Dunedin 10.45 p.m., Christchurch ar. rive 8.15 a.m. (24th and 3lst December). TUESDAY, 2nd JANUARY. Leave Christchurch 9.5 p.m., Ashburton 10.57, Dunedin arrive 6.25 a.m. (3rd January). Leave Dunedin 8.45 p.m., Christchurch arrive 6.15 a-tn. (3rd January). TRAIN SERVICES—CHRISTMAS DAY. The following trains will run on Christmas Day:—The express and mail trains between Chriatchurcli, Dunedin, and Invercargill. The 9.10 a.m, extra express Christchurch to Dunedin. Trains will leave Christchurch for Lyttelton at 6.35, IU.O, 10.55 ajn., 1.25, 2.45, 4.0, 5.20, 6.50, 7.50, and 9.15 p.m. Tho 7.23 p.m. train for Wellington steamer will run as usual to the wharf. Trains will leave Lyttelton for Christchiuch at 7.25. 10.25, and 11.20 a-m., 2.0, 3.20, 4.35, 6.15, 7.15, 8.20, 8.35, and 9.45 p.m. The 8.50 a.m., Christchurch to Culvcrden, and 3.15 p.m. Culverden to Christchurch, and the motor service between Culverden ajid Hanmer. The 8.7 a.m. Christchurch to Ashburton and the 11.15 a.m. Ashburton to Christchurch. Tho 8.33 a.m. Christchurch to Arthur's Pass, and tho 2.15 p.m. Arthur's Paes to Christchurch. TUESDAY, 26th DECEMBER, Lyttelton Line—Extra trains will leave Christchurch for liyttelton at 9.25, 10.20, and 11.30 a.m, and. Lyttelton for Christchurch at 8.40, 9.55, 10.55' a.m., und 6.45 p.m. The train which "usually leaves Lyttelton for Christchurch at 5.10 p.m. will start at 5.25 p.m. and arrive'at Christchurch at 5.15 p.m. A train stopping where required will leave Rangiora at 8.42 a.m., arriving at Christchurch 9.50 a.m. The ordinary morning train from Waikari will etart at 7.30, Christchurch ariive 10.15 a«m. After leaving Ashley this train will stop only to set down paeaengexs, except that at Rangiora it will pick up passengers from Oxford Branch. Tlio morning train from Oxford West will leave at 7.35 a.m., arrive Rangiora 8.55 a.m. A train, stopping where required, will leave RangioTa for Christchurch at 5.36 p.m., Christchurch arrive 6.45 p.m. The train which usually leaves Christchurch for Rangiora at 5.10 p.m. will start at 5.41 pJn., and arrive Rangiora 6.53 p.m. The evening train for' Isorth Line and Branches will leave Christchurch at 5.10 p.m., arriving Culverden 9.21 p.m., Bennetts 7.35 p.m., and West Oxford 8.5 p.m. The afternoon train from Culverden to Christchurch will start at 3.40 p.m., Christchurch arrive 7.26 pm. After leaving Ashley this train will stop only to set down passengers. The afternoon train from Parnassus will start at 1.40 p.m. The 7.42 a.m. Rangi-ora-Christchurch and 5.10 p.m. BelfastChristcnurch trains will not run. Late train leaves Christchurch for Rangiora at 10.45 p.m. Excursion Trains to Arthur's Pass —A train taking passengers for Arthur's Pass from Middleton, Kowai Bush and intermediate stations will leave Middleton at 7.30 a.m., and arrive Arthur's Pass 11.41 a.m. A train taking passengers from Christchurch and Addington only will leave Christchurch at 8.10 a.m., Arthur's Pass arrive 12.6 p.m. On return journey trains leave Arthurls Pass 4.35 p.m. and 5.10 p.m., arriving Christchurch 8.20 p.m. and 8.28 p.m. respectively. The 4.30 p.m. Special will stop where required to sot down after passing Otarama. The 5.20 p.m. Special stops only at Addington to set down. Excursion Train for Little River will leave Christchurch at 9.30 a.m., Little River arrive 11.25 a.m. Returning from Little River at 6.20 p.m., and arriving Christchurch 8.10 p.m. Special Passenger Trains will leave Christchurch for Ashburton at 9.45 and 10.0 aum.. arriving at Ashburton at 11.20 and 11.35 а.m. These trains take passengers from Christchurch only, and will stop at Saleyards Siding (opposite.the Racecourse) to set down passengers. Passengers from intermediate stations must travel by the ordinary 8.7 a.m. Christchurch-Ashburton train.
