After being iu port a, few weeks from San Francisco, the barquo Raupo (ex Louisa Crai") left iLyttelton on Saturday morning with a load of produce for Auckland. Her future movements arc uncertain, although it probabLo that she will go next to Australia, During tho past few days tho vessel has been short of her full complement of sailors, and those that could be foiuid to fill the positions put a high value on their services. However, aa the vessel was ready for Boa, and as the owners did not wish her to be delayed, the men, it is understood, had their terms accepted. It 13 stated that four sailors who signed on for the run between Lyttelton and Auckland aro to receive £15 each when they reach tho Northern port. Provided the Raupo makes a good passage, and ahe is likclv to do so, seeing that is one of the "fastest vessels of her class in Australasian w&ters, and that she was docked during her atav in port, this rate of pay, so far as the men themselves aro concerned, should bo considered highly satisfactory. With good weather, the Raupo should reach i Auckland early next week. | SHIPPING AND MAILS. (By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright.)
