POSITION IN GREECE.
THE ALLIES' DEMANDS. AN ULTIMATUM ISSUED. (Br Cable.—Ptoss Association. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cafcle Association.) (Received December 17tli_, 5.5 p.m.) PARIS, December 15. The Allies' Note to Greece declareu tliat King Constantino and his Government were unable to control the Greek army to prevent it becoming a menace- to the Allied army in Macedonia, and therefore demanded the withdrawal of the troops and war material towards Peloponnessus witliin twenty-four hours, and all movements northward to be stopped. Not to accede to these demands would bo construed as f«n act of hostility and as a refusal of them. The Allied Ministers would then leave Greece, and the blockadti of the coasts would be maintained until full reparation was made for the rccent unprovoked attacks in Athene, and guarantees given for the future maintenance of order. ACCEPTANCE REPORTED. (.Router's Telegrams. l LONDON, December 15. Greece has accepted the Allies' demands.

PARIS, December 15. The "Petit Journal's'' Piraeus correspondent telegraphs that to-day 6 Allied N~V>t<> to Greece demands the tiemobilisation of the r.riny and the liberation of the Yenizelists. Agitation continues violently at Larissa and Janina. where the military are distributing heated proclamations urging the deliverance of Athens. "'The- Times," in a leading article, referring to Greece, says: —"The Allies have not ijcmandoj that King Constantine shall do their bidding without being ready to .vpply compulsion. We shall never feel safe or be able to nurfiie our projects in Macedonia until the Royalists are removed to areas ■where they will be -unable to afTect the military situation."
