YALDHURST. At the usual monthly meeting it was decided not to meet again till February Ist/. ladies taking extra work -to keep. .them going. Th<> following articles were brought in:—22 pairs socks, 3 pairs mittens, 2 Balaclavas' A3 shirts, 5 dozen handkerchiefs, 5 euita pyjamas, 1 operation shirt, 2 undeirvests, 2 waistcoats, 2 cotton nightshirts, 6 medicine cloths, IS diet cloths, 6 ■washers', and' .1 bundle c£ old linen. WAIPARA. The annual meeting of the Waipara Bed Cjrosa Branch was held on. November 30th. 'J 1 he assets for "the year showed £110 14s 'TU and expenditure JE9S 14s 6d, which included: 12 soldiers' liags, C pairs mittens, 18 eurgical veils, a number of swabs, 18 dish towels, quantity of old linen, 1 draw-sheet, 2 aim Tests, 2 dusters, "2 knee pads, CG slings, 32 body belts, 2S handkerchiefs, 32 binders, 28 hot-water bags, 34 vests, 32 bed jackets, 57 under-pants 66 shirts, 74 pairs pyjamas, 27 operation coats, t Balaclavas, 11 scarves, 23 pairs slipere, 21 pairs socke, 5 dressingnumber medicine cloths, 33 operation cloths', 3G tray cloths, 53 face cloths, 40 fomentations, 6 shorts, 3 nightingales, 03 inanitails, 182 bandages. BROMLEY. The cxDCutiro of the Bromley Red Cross and Lady Liverpool Society met in the School on Fridav evening, when it wa® finally decided that Miss Pole should stand as tho Red Cross Queen, and Miss NaiikivoU as tho Lady Liverpool Queen, colours to be red and whit© and blue and white respectively. Mr R. Carter presented a gold bangle 33 a nucleus for an art which Mr [uggins was appointed to manage. Mr Stephens wae appointed to arrange band matters. Tho entertainment committee reported that arrangements were in hand for -an entertainment at Bromley early in January, and one at Woolaton early jn February, both o£ which would be duly advertised. RAiNGIORA. The treasurer of tho Rangiora Branch of tho Red Cross Society acknowledges receipt of £319 13s 4d from the Northern A. and P. Association, being a second contribution of Queen Election money, also £5 12s collected by Mrs T. Shankland and Miss Falle.
