4 The annual general meeting of the Christchurch Permanent JR-iilway Kmployees' Annual Sick Benefit Society Til! bo held in the Ambulance Room at the Chriatchurch railway station 10-morow. at 6 p.m. At the conclusion of the annual meeting, a special meeting will bo held to consider the following n-ticee oC motion: —"That rule XII., clause 1.. b c amended to provide that the amount of funeral benefit paid to a member on account of the death of his wife, shall not exoeed £10." Rule XII., clause III: "That thi3 clause be considered with a view of placing the funeral benefit scheme od a sounder basis." In the new Masonic Hall. Glouoeeter street, to-morrow evening. Dr. "J. Henry Crawaliaw will deliver a lecture on "The Anatomy of Poultry." The lecture will bo illustrated with la.ntern elides shewn by Mr Wvlie. The subject will be interestingly dealt, with and afford a splendid oporlunity for information on an important subject. The price of admission is one shilling, and the proceeds will go to the Ked Cross Funds.
