Merrett and Company had a largo entry for their second Christmas salo of poultry yesterday. Goslings, ducklings, turkeys, and table were in keen demand. Table chickens brought from 7s to lis 6d, 'ihons 4s to 76, pullets 5s tid to lis 9d, ducklings 7s to 10s 6d, ducks 7« to 9s, geese 7s to 9s 3d, turkey hens lis to lfe, turkey gobblers 23s to 375, all per pair. THE EGG MARKET. The supply of eggs is remarkably good, but the Christmas demand hag set in, and yesterday prices advanced. Tie Canterbury Egg Circle first grade realised is -dd, seconds Is 3d per dozen. BURNSIDE MARKET. (riIESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM,) DUNEDIN, December 13. At Burnside to-day 158 fat eattlc wore yarded. The quality was fair, and prices were, a shade firmer. Extra prime bullocks £22 ss. prime £18 to £20. medium £15 to £16, inferior £13 to £14, best cows, heifers £12 10s_to £13 10s. extra £17, medium £10 ids to £12. inferior £9 to £10. Fat sheep—l 693 were, penned. Competition was good and prices were firm. Best wethers 34s to 365, medium 31a to 325, inferior 29s to 30s, best ewes 31s to 335, medium 26s to 28s, inferior 22s to 245. Lambs—lso were penned. Competition was keen and .prices were firm. Pigs—There was ft largo yarding. Fat's wero keenly competed for at lata , rates. A medium yarding of store* realised high rates. ■ Primo baeoners 105s, good 90s, medium 75s to 80s, best porkers 65s to 70s, medium 60s.
