The chairman, in his Tern arks, commented ■upon the fact that tho various trotting clubs had corn© to recognise, that the Association was not to tell them how to run their meeting's, but to assist th© sport generally. Ko the means ci inducing owners to pay more attention to breeding- Mr Moir also stated that the membership only stood at eeventy, and to cnabU the Association to carry on properly it would be neccasa.ry thai members eiiould do their utmost to increase the inembci-ship. Ti.e adoption of the report and balancesheet was agreed L<j. Mr B. J. Munroc moved to increase tho subscription from half a guine-a. t a one gninei. Tho motion, which v;a« seconded by Mr G. Dnncan, was negatived. A letter was received from the I'orbury Park Trotting Club, stating that they had provided a f.uiky for use at the pest in case of accident. It was proposed by Mr Mcir and seconded by Mr Hayward that a letter of thanks be forwarded to the Forbury Park Trotting Club. The lighting of horse-boxes on tho trains returning frcm. race meetings was discussed. It was suggested that a. letter should be forwarded to tho Traffic--Manager of tho Railways urging sn improvement. Mr Hayward. junr., spoke of the (Treat loss trotting had sustained in the death of Mr Aikenheaa. It was decided that a letter of sympathy be forwarded to Mrs Aiken?>ead.
