FIRES.
At 10.26 last night, the Brigade turned out to 12 Carlyle street, Sydenham, a two-storeyed house, containing five rooms. The building was gutted. Particulars as to ownership and insurances are not available. . Ab 9.26 a.m. yesterday the Fire Briaade received a call to No. 616 Colombo street, a shop owned by Charles \Vallach, jeweller. Some cinders had fallen cut of the grate, and started the flooring. Practically no damage was done, and there was no insurance.
