Masacy:—"ln the Netf Zealand papers received containing condensed reports of my speeches and interviews, I regret to notice some serious mistakes. For instance, a Press Association telegram dated October 21et appears to have confused soldiers' land settlement with immigration. The printed report here makes me say correctly with regard to land settlement: 'Tho New Zealand soldiers must come first, but that we shall welcome British immigrants goes without saying, and I ■nil] add. I know of no country in the world where industrious men and women would have less difficulty in making homes for themselves than in New Zealand.' "Secondly, the Press telegram dated October 26th, giving m v message to the Pilgrims' Club, should read: 'Stand fast, men of Britain, stand fan for thehonour of tho race, tho glory of th« flag, and tho welfare of humanity.' " RECEPTION BY T7IT, QUEEN(By Caj:e._p rC6 g Association.—Copyrigi*! (United Service i LONDON. December 7. -Mrs and Misa Masscy were receirej by her Majesty the Queen at Buckiag--; nam Palaca.
