Following is an extract from a letter received by the Bishop of Auckland from the Rev. K. E. Maiden, %vho is chaplain to the New Zealand Forces in France: —"I am trying to write to the noxt-ct'-kin of all men killed in tho 'Jnd Auckland Rattalion, but at present it is impossible to tell where they arc buried. In sonyv cases, of course, they will never be found, and it lias been a case of every officer burying the dead he found. The German barrage of fire over the ground wo advanced over also has hindered things a good deal, but I hope eventually to locate al! our Auckland boys, and to let their relations know."
