BT7MMAEY AND FORECAST. Mr D. C. Bates, Government Meteorologist, supplied the following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:— The barometer rose starply during Thursday night, but only moderate to strong south-west winds resulted, and the weather improved to-day. There aTe, however, evidences of a further disturbance developing north-westward of the Dominion. Present indications are for variable breezes, with moderate to strong westerlies in the immediate future. Expect changeable conditions and increasing cloudiness, with ram following in many parts, and the barometer falling shortly.
