ROSE FETE DAY.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of tho General Committee of the ■Roeo Feto was hold at the City Council Library yesterday afternoon, Mr J as. Jamieson being in the chair. The Traffic Manager of the Railways wrote stating l that on the day of the fete. December 2nd, trains for tie country in. the evening would be delayed. The Under-Secretary of Internal Affairs wot© regarding the holding of an art union, and forwarded the regulation mado in connexion therewith. With regard to the oarriage- of parcels, etc., Mr' J. D. Millton said that some of the carriers were willing to do the work gratia, but others expected to be paid. The secretary reported that the "Woolston Band had agreed to provide music in the afternoon. The band would not chargc, but it was suggested that a. small donation to the ba-nd'e funds from the committee would be acceptable. The names of Messrs Raphael and ]jongton were added to the Advertising Committee. Mr W. Irwin and Mr Jas. Young wero appointed a committee to look after the boating arrangements. Mr J. D. Millton was deputed to ask for the assistance of the members of the Automobile Association.
