ELLESMERE A meeting of tie executive of the Ellesmero Bowling Association, held at Leeaton, was presided over by Mr A. T. Robertson (vioe-pregident), the president (Mr J. Boag, junr.), sending aii apology for non-attend-ance. The three district clubs—Lees ton, Southbridge, and Dunsaudel—were re-presented. Mr J. Boag, senr., patron of the club, wrote, stating that, ho would give a trophy for the annual tournament, the trophy to be held by the winner for ono. year. On tho motion of Messrs Lill and Neave, it was decided that tho annual tournament ohould be held on December IMb and 16th, the proceeds to be divided between the local Red Cross branches. It was ak-o agreed that the programme should be the eame as 1 a?t year, viz. ; Singles, doubles, and champion rink, Dunsandel Club to be allowed to enter two rinks, and the. section finals and final/ to be played on the Dunsaudel green on December 16th. Tho system of play in the singles championship was left to a later meeting to arrange. It waa decided ' that framed certificates eiould bo given as prizes. The following had also promised trophies:—Mr C. H. Piper, winner of singles; Mr S. Johnston, runner-up in th? singles: Mes3rn A. T. Robertson and J. W. A. "Walker, doubles; Mr J. Boat's trophy to be held by winners of the rink competition for ono year. I It was also agreed that tho secretaries of tho three, district clubs chould receivc entries up to December Stb.
