An Up-Mountain Record Overland Wins Brisbane "Open-to-AII" Hill Climb On October the 14th over in Brisbane, the Automobile Club held an " open-to-all " hill climb at Mount Cootha, and an Overland "walked off" with the laurels. The speed of the Overland averaged 42 miles per hour, and the full distance of the climb was covercd in 2 minutes. 21 J- seconds—a record for the course. . The Brisbane " Daily Mail " commenting on the pdrformance says in part:—" Mr. F. Z. Eager, as might have been expected, won the time prize in the big event, cutting out the course record time of 2 minutes 21} seconds. The previous best was his own— 2 minutes 435 seconds." It also says : — ,l If a man can drive up Mount Cootha in 2 minutes 21-Jr seconds, he can probably get up Mount Blanc with a little extra oil, and a few spare parts." This is one more instance of Overland superiority. All over the world similar performances have been (and ARE being) put up?
