The "Daily Telegraph" states that the Government, is determined to utilise the man-power of thn country to the fullest extent. The Man-Power Distribution Hoard is coming to the conclusion that all men of military age, apart from those with reserved occupations, must eventually be held available for national purposes, either under the War Office or under the Ministry oi' Munitions.

WOMEN MUST WORK.

CASE OF WOOLLEN INDUSTRY

LONDON, October 13. A deputation reprewnting ail branches of the woollen and worsted industry drew the War Office's attention to the difficulty of supplying tho Allies if additional skilled workers were, recruited from the industry.

Major-General Maurice and BrigadierGeneral Geddes pointed out the urgency of sparing every available man and employing wometl to the utmost. The deputation ultimately undertook to co-operate in arranging whatever further dilution of labour is possible, and a committee was appointed to formulate and assist in carrying out detailed pronosals.
