J.'or four nights Mason and Devvy kept watcn, ana at 5.16 tiiis morning a woix)r-car aiovo up to tne door of tne garage, wiiicu was opened evidently by a aupucate key, and a man entered. Jiasou and Levvy waited until the man nau. a case of petrol on &is snoulder, wnen the former presented a revolver. Tne intruder offered no resistance. He proved to be John Alfred bnirley, taxi-uriver. At the Magistiate's Court to-day ho \vjy£ charged on two counts of tii-eft of a case of petrol. The case was adjourned. Bail was allowed in £200 and sureties for £200.
