TRIAL OF RUA.
CROW" PROSECUTOR'S ADDEESS. (PRESS ASSOCIATION* TELECIUiI.) AUCKLAND, July 31/ Counsel for the defence concluded his address to the jury in the Rua trial to-day, and the Hon. J. A. Tole commenced his address for the prosecution. Mr Tolo commented on tho length of the case, which he said was out of all proportion to any of the questions involved. In regard to the shooting at Maungapohatu, no injury was dope to any Native until four policemen were wounded. Analysing the evidence of witnesses for the defence, Mr Tole asked what reliability there was to be placed on it. Tho accused had expressed the opinion on oath that all the police told falsehoods, were inhuman murderers, and very bad men. Tho hearing was adjourned..
