ANTI-ANNEXATION POLICY. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.} ZURICH. July 20. The majority of the leading German, newspapers now support Dr. von Bethmann-Hollweg's anti-annexation policy. The "Munchner Post" declares that; tho lives of tho Fatherland's defenders must not bo sacrificed for annexation schemes, which cannot bo carried out. CRIME AND SUICIDE. HORRIBLE REVELATIONS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, July 20. The Hague correspondent of the United Press Association reports that a ghastly crime and suicide wave is' sweeping over Germany. It is due ta mental depression caused by lack of proper food and the losses of the war. There have been sensational suicides and murders in Berlin every other day for the past two weeks. Two girls lulled another in a manicure parlour. They beheaded her witk a razor, packed the body in a trunk, and sent it to another city. There are many similar gruesome crimes. Practically nothing is published in Germany regarding suicides, to avoi«> the depressing pyschological effect. BRITISH PBISONEBS, AN ALLEGED RIOT AMSTERDAM, July 20.
