Our gunners, who have been just living for this go. worked ' splendidly. All the awful feeling of > helplessness which w 0 have experienced in the past vanished. W 0 were hittinn 1 back, fighting for our lives, doine something. t Suddenly, amidst a deafening crash 1 the Zeppelin semed to stand then dropped about 200 ft. WV* have to take our chance of being hit r l>y our own guns, though most of don't• seem to mind that; course, get into cupboards, cellars, and / ! under sofas.
