General Noithev reports that British columns crossed tho frontier between Nyassalnnd and German East Africa >n May 25th, and pursued'the enemy as far as ITtengula (north of Lake Nyassa), capturing prisoners and stores. Colonel 'Murray, commanding vlio Rhodesir.r.i column, is investing the Nameina forts. The garrison made a sortie on June 2nd, and suffered heavy casualties. Many of the enemy, including the German Commandant, were taken prisoner. The German native levies and carriers arc demoralised and are deserting. Our losses have been small.
