SHIPPING NOTES. Due at Lyttelton to-day from Melbourne, via Southern Ports, tho Palnona is bringing transhipments ex the steaineis Mooltan, Khyber, and othere. IC3 barrels oil, 952 begs barley, and sundris?s. The Paloona was fog-bound at Port Chalmors last night, and is not cxpccted to reach here till late io-duy. The Monowai, which ieft Lytt-elton last, night for Dunodin, is not due back until Sunday. She will continue her northward trio on Monday. A preliminary encruiry was held at LyttMton yesterday before Captain J. A. H.
