THE PROPERTY MARKET. Messrs It. S. McKenzie and Co., instructed by Lieutenant-Colonel A. E. Loach, offered for at their auction rooms _ yesterday his residential property in Hewitt street, but as the sum of only £725 was offered, the property was passed in. TEMUKA STOCK SALE. The yarding of sheep at the Tcmuka stock sale yesterday totalled 1759, against 2580 at the last sale. The entry wa s made up of 756 fat ewes, 492 fat lambs. fat wethers, fand 497 stores. There was a good attendance of fat buyers, and prices throughout were good. Ewes made 14s 2d -to 24-s 7d, wethers 26s 3d to 31s, atad lambs los Gd to 23s 10d. The store sheep offered were chiefly old owes in poor condition, which sold at prices ranging from 9s 1 <! to 12s 6d. Ewe lambs brought 18s 9d. Of those offered 238 wero passed. The yarding of cattle totalled 96 head, and j74 were classed as fats. Though none of the fats were prime, anmany were only forward stores, competition was good, and only a small proportion failed to find purchasers. Cows made £5 10s to £11 2s 6d, steers £4 to £14 10s, and heif6rs £4 15s to £9 ss. Dairv heifers brought up to £10, empty heifers to £6 ss, spring cows to £8 los, and calves 355. The competition for pigs was very keen. Weaners mado 5s 6d to 15s. stores 21s to 33s . 6d. porkers 37s 6d to 565, and baconers £3 7s 6d.to £4.
