« TO THE EDITOR OF "TTJE PRESS." Sir.—l Lave read with much interest the remarks oi' Drs. Symes and Mickle. and I should like, with your permission, to call the attention of both these gentlemen to the revelation of filth dumping in the Avon disclosed in the reports of the Public Health Ofiicer and the inspector of the Drainage Board and published recently in your columns on tho day after the last> meeting of the Drainage Board. After the perusal uf these reports, one would like to hear the opinion of these gentlemen as to how the state of affairs revealed is likely to affect the health of Christchurch, and particularly the.health of the unfortunate residents of the locality referred to. and those bnuiing people who use the lower renc-hcs of orir beautiful but foul river.—Yours, etc..
