LYTTELTON MARINE BAND.
TO THE EDITOR 01' "THE FHESS."
-Sir, —My attention has b<xsn drawn to a paragraph in your Wednesday's issue signed "Lytteltonian," regarding iho doings of tho above band. If your 'jorrospondent will attend the next meeting of tho band on Monday evening, he -will bo furnished with_ all tho information he desires.. Seeing iho band has been doing a good deal of Hod Cross and other patriotic work in Christohurch. including municipal conrcrts. .his remarks arc very unfair. "What lias "Lytteltonian" done, anyhow, for either the Patriotic Funds or the band's upkeep? Tho "men through the hill" can speak for themselves. Sign your name or keep silence. — Yours etc., H. "L. OAKES. Assistant Secretary, Lyttolton Marino Band.
