PUBLIC NOTICES. COUNTY OF RANGIORA. THE RANGIORA COUNTY GRASS-SHED Bi'-LAWS, 1915. POWERS AND AUTHORITIES. F pursuance of tho powers, provisions, and authorities contained in "The Counties Act, 1908," the Acts amending 1 the same, and in "Tho fob lie "Works Act. 1908" and of all othor enabling' powers, provisions, and authorities vested in them, the Chairman, Comncillara, and the Inhabitants of tho County of Rangiora by tho Rangiora, County Council (hereinafter called tho Council) do hereby make and ordain tho following By-laws for prohibiting; the cutting of grass for eeed on all roads witilin tho County of Rangiora •under the control of tho .Rangiora. County Council during tho whole of eacli and ©very year, daring which and so long ae- these bylaws shall remain in force and unrepealed without the previous consent in writing of the County Council, and for imposing penalties for the breach of these by-laws. 1..Th0 short title of those By-laws shall be "Tho Rangiora County Graes-sced By-laws, 1015." 2. The term "Road" where used in these by-lawe shall have tho meaning given to it in Section 101 of "Tho Public Works Act, 1908," and unless repugnant to th® context shall include" everything mentioned or referred to in the said section as being included in tho word "Road" where used in the said Act. "County" means th© County of Rangiora; "Council" means the Riangiora County Council; "Clerk of the Council" means tho Clerk of the Rangiora County . Council. 3. These By-laws ehall apply to all of the roads within the County, and: ehall apiply during' the whole of each and ovary year eo long a® these by-laws shall continue in force. 4. No person shall at any time or in or during the whole of oach and every such year cut any grass for eeed growing on any road within tho County without obtaining from time to time in and during each and every suoh year tho previous consent in writing of the Council. E. The Council, on giving such consent, may therein and thereby specify tho road or roads or any part or parts of the same within such County to which, such consent shall extend and apply,, and may therein and thereby determine the period of time during which such consent shall continue to be in force. . 6. No person othor than tho person, to whom any such consent shall h&vo been given or thoeo acting through or under him shall, during the period covered by such consent, cut any grass on any road or part of tho road specified in such consent so as to depriv-o the person mentioned in such consent of tho full benefits thereunder. 7. Any person cutting grass for eeed on.any road in tho County shall have the consent of tho Council for cutting tho same in his immediate personal possession, and shall when required by the Clerk of tho Council produce such consent for inspection forthwith, and any per eon who shall, on being eo required, refuse or fail forthwith to produce such consent 6hall be guilty of a breach of this by-law. 8. Any person committing a breach of or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this by-law shall for each and every such offence ba liable to a penalty not exceeding the stun of Five Pounds. 9. These by-laws ehall come into force within the County on the expiration of fourteen clear days after the date of their publication under "Tho Counties Act, 1903."
