ED. REECE AND SONS, LTD. AITKEN AND ROBERTS, LTD. As if in the manner of signalising the commencement of the New Year, the commercial world of Christchurch has just learned of the amalgamation of two of the best-known hardware houses, those of Messrs Ed. The firms in question are business organisations in this city, both widely known, the former having been in existence fifty-seven years, while the latter firm are junior to them, having been established in 1879. The shares of the company are now being placed on the market, and aro being rapidly taken up by the public in Christchurch and throughout Canterbury ; and of the various projects subscribed to by the public of recent years, this one is one of the most attractive that has been placed before them. Applications for shares may be obtained from the members of the Chrisfcchurch Stock Exchange. 1
