Row, Offi-, cer Commanding the CanterbuU Infantry Reinforcements, dated Novefii- ' ber 20th. The following arc from his letter:— "I am writing you to ask your kw c s in the replacing of our band ments. Immediately on receiving ders to proceed to Lemnos for a rest, ths O.C. Regiments cabled for their instni- " ments to be sent to Lemnos. We, gether with Auckland and Battalions, wero ate in that a number of our ments were so badly damaged in trant* from Alexandria to Lemnos as quite useless. The other battalions VP 4 replacing their instruments from regimental funds, but in this respOct*o j are in an unfortunate position in having had a regimental fund to on. ...
