OBITUARY.
311* A. ANDERSON. Mr Andrew Anderson a well-known farmer residing at Killinchy. died sudden]- at ten o'clock'yesterday morning, at the ago of eighty years. Ho had j always enjoyed good health. and was J apovt attending to his duties on the farm from six o'clock, vesterday i morning. Heart, trouble is said to bo the eauso of dentil. The. late Mr Anderson -was born at Kirriemuir, Forfarshire, and came out to New Zealand forty-three years ago. He pettier] in Christehurph for t«o years, and then came on to the Ellefiincre district, where he had remained ever since. He leaves a widow and a grown-up family of five sops and two daughters. The' late Mr Anderson had been on the directorate of the Canterbury- Central Dairy Company for twenty-three years, and was a member of the Ellesmcre Cemetery Board. Mil F. \V. EAST. - Mr Frank William East, who died at Prebbleton yesterday, at. the ase of 71 years, had resided in the district for over of) years. In the early days ho was a threshing-mill owner, and later clerk to the Lincoln Road Board, before it was merged into th« Paparua County Council, and returning officer for Conrtenri- and the old "Lincoln electorate. tie was a prominent Freemason, a member of the District Grand Lodge, E.C., Grand Steward of the New Zealand Grand Lodge, founder of Lodge Lincoln in 1880. and for over 40 year? a member of Lodge Canterbury. He leaves a widow and family.
