(press association telegrams.) AUCKLAND. January 13. An old age pensioner named Markwick Ashdown lhyyer committed suicide at Swauson by jumping into a creek. He. left a letter indicating his intention of doing so, and stated that he had come to the conclusion that life was not worth living. NEW PLYMOUTH, January 13. Ti. Jensen, s-jcond mate of the schooner C\ «S. Holmes, which had just arrived from Scund, was •Irownod in the harbour last night. He missed his footing when going on board the vessel.
