Tho following is Mr Pemberton's weather summary for tho past 21 hours: — ' An atmospheric depression passed rapidly in the South last night, and accounted for r»in in various part* of the Dominion. i«> weather hag improved t-o-dsy exeunt :n tho southernmost districts, whcr<* the barometer still considerably below normal. Moderate to strong north-west to couth-west winds have ruled. \ Present indications are for westerly ana south-westerly winds, moderate to 6trong generally, but squally at times in and southward of Cook Strait. Fair weather ia probablo in tho northern and East Ccaei districts, and changeable conditions cl-sc-whoro with scattered showers. The barometer is unsteady in the South, but'is duo to rise further everywhere soon.
