VISIT TO CHRISTCHTJRCH. CONSECRATION OF MONSIGNOR BRODIE. A meeting of the Exccutivo Committee in connexion with the reception of : his Excellency Archbishop Cerrotti, Apistolic Delegate, and the consecration of the Bishop-elecfc of Christchurch, Monsignor Brodie, was held last ovening, tho Very Rev. Dean Hills, Administrator, presiding. It was announced that the ApoStolic Delegate would pass through Christchurch for Dunedin on Saturday, the 22nd inst., but his" formal reception would be reserved till he returned here, after going north, on Saturday, February 26th, for the consecration of Monsignor Brodie on Sunday, Fcbruary 27th. »

It was resolved to submit to his Excellency as he passed through on his •way to Dunedin a tentative programme, suggesting that ho be received at the railway station after coming up from Lyttelfbn by the committee, and that ho bo escorted to the Cathedral, where, it was thought, ho would say Mass, after which it was suggested that two addresses—-one from tho clergy and one from the laity—should be presented. It would then bo submitted to him as to how ho would pass the afternoon of Saturday.

For. the consecration service on Sunday, ■ it, was decided that admission would be by ticket only, tickets to bo obtainable from the clergy, the committee, and O'Connor's depot, opposite tho Cathedral. It was decided to invite a delegation from each parish in the diocese, the matter to be submitted to the clergy assembled for the retreat next week.
