It is reported that in or&er to save the men from starvation the Allies have decided to transfer the Serbian Army to Corfu. (Page 7.) The Austrians claim that their offensive against the Montenegrins is progressing. (Page 7.) After an interesting debate, the second reading of the Military Service (No. 2) Bill was carried by an overwhelming majority. (Page 7.) The Austrians claim to have repulsed six Russian attacks near the Bessarabian frontier. (Page 8.) The members of the Christchurch Tramways Employees' Union are recommended to refrain from taking part in the Queen Election in aid of the Canterbury Patriotic Fund. (Page 8.) A motion condemnatory of conscription was passed at a public meeting held at Woolston last night. (Page 9.) The semi-finals in the Dominion Bowling Association's championship were played yesterday. (Page 3.) The Banks Peninsula War Fund appeal realised nearly £10,000. (Page 8.)
