The cash receipts had been £527 19s 4d, and the amoftnt on deposit and cash at bank totalled £3G9 Is. The committee appeals for furter contributions of meat to enable them to continue their good work. THE BELGIUM FUND. TO THE EDITOR OF "THE FEES*-** Sir, —Ever since the beginning of the war I have been going without sugar in my tea and giving the money to the Belgians. It amounted to ten or twelve shillings for them, and a little for the Bed Cross Fund, and now it has been taken for something else. I do not know what it has been taken for, but if it is not going to be given to the Belgians, please will you send it back ,to me and I will send it to them myself; but if you cannot' get it for me will you write to me and tell me the name of a person who can.—Youre, etc., EDITH WALL. Lismore Lodge, Fendalton. [We hope that the Minister for Internal Affairs will give his attention to this pathetic little letter. The disposition of the moneys contributed to the Belgium Fund is obviously a question involving something more than the rights of the executive of the Fund. It involves the rights and - wishes of the contributors — one of .whom here demands her money back unless it 13 sent forthwith to London.—Ed. "The Press."] •
