CROQUET.
A REMARKABLE SCORE. A score, which is probably a record, was put up on tho croquet lawna in tho Eoforua Public Gardens a few days ago by on© of tho members of tho local Croquet* Club, Mre Kibblewhite, while playing a "friendly" match With Mr C. E. Kueabs. The latter had "got in" and gone completely round to tho second rover hoop. He stop-shotted the live ball (black) to tho far line, and went down to hia own ball (yellow) that was lying at No. 2 hoop. Mrs Kibblewhite came clean across the lawn and got a ball, then starting, made the entire round with blue, taking up red (her opponent's ball on the' rbver boop), putting— it ..through and it out. She then continued with black, red being out of play, made tho complete circuit. and pegged out both balls, having scored 28 consecutive points, and having put her opponent out of action by putting him through tho rover hoop and pegging him out.
