BOWLING.

DOMINION TOURNA3IENT. THIRD DAY. The Champior.ehip Tournament t"3s continued yesterday in fair weather. During tb© day Eome very fine play was witnessed, and 6ome clcse finishes resulted. In Section A tho Otago team, skipped by Smith, successful in each of their three games, and ivon the 6ection. Waddell (Oamaru) wa 9 clcso up with 7 wins. Section B was won right out by Hill (Wellington) with 8 wins. His three games yesterday were won with points to spare. Angus (B&ngiora) and Gurney (Chriatchurch) ■each scored 7 wins. Section C wa s well contested, but Newtown (W. Wylie) proved tho most consistent, only losing one game out of the nine, and thdi only by a point to Jtlallantvne (AVelliagton). They had, however, a closo call in tho eighth round when playing against McLaren (Duucdin), the- 21st iicad ending in a tie. The winning point was 6coied very cleverly on the next head.

In Section D, through the defeat of Torrance (Chriatchurch) in tho final round by Hendry (Hataitai), no fewer than four winners have qualified. Tho final head between these two rinks proved very cxc.ting-, and tho opposing rinks, seeing tho possibilities, watched tho reeult with Keen interest. Tho game finished 19 all, and in tho play-off the result was in doubt right to tho end, when Hendry, with a beautiful draw, touchcd kitty, lay tb© shot, and won. Torranco (ChrLstcliurch), "Woolf (United), Bedpath vCanterbury), and Laing (Waimate) participate in the green winners' competition. Section E found a real champion rink in Eosiyn (Fountain), who successfully staved off all opposition, winning all nino games, although they had several very clc&o ctills. In Section P no fewer than three rinks tied with eix wins eiyOi—Newtown ton), .Bonaud (Canterbury], and a cosmopolitan rliik skipped by W. Allnutt, of Kai,koroi, Dune din, who filled un a spa.ee niudo vacant by Wellington (Campbell). Allnutt's rink comprised T. Burgess (Wc.l.ngton), C. H. Bascand (Edgeivare), and Bell (Canterbury;.

Section G ended, ae wag erpected, in a good in for Ponsonby (11. Walker) with eight wins out of nino games. Ho fell a victim to Victoria (Norwood) in the seventh round, and tho same rink proved a etumbl.ng block to Kiev-wright (Wellington) in tho last round.

On the green this afternoon , 6 Barnett are holding a president's afternoon, when it i s expected that a large concourse of ladies will attend. A match North v.
