Fryer presided over a public meeting in the school on Monday evening, when it was decided to form a club to be registered under the War Funds Act. and known as the Kimberlev Social Patriotic Club. The objects of the Club are to raise money for tho assistance of wounded soldiers and their dependents, and the provision of comforts, etc., for the forces on active service. The following officers were elected :—Trustees, Messrs James Manson and W. Syme; secretary, Miss S. McCausland : treasurer, Miss Nellie Cogan; committee, Messrs Fryer, Jas. Cogan, G. Sloper, Miss Rhodes, and Mr Falland, Mason acting as accompanist. Mrs Lewton contributed a pianoforte solo. Misses Rhodes and Mason a duet, and Mr Lewton a recitation. Sweets and flowers were sold during the evening. Doak. on behalf of the Padies. thanked all those who hr.d helped to make the concert a success, and took the opportunity of presenting Trooper R.
