THE LATE MR F. H. PYNE.

THE FUNERAL. The funeral of the late Mr I • H. Pyne, senior partner ot tiie firm of Messrs Pyne and Co., took place at tho Riccarton Churchyard yesterday. A very number of friends of tho Jato Mr Pync. and representatives of the various businesses and organisations with which he was prominently associated, attended th© funeral, ar.d the wealth of beautiful floral tributes attested the liitUi esteem iu which the deceased was held by all sectious of tho community. Telegrams and messages of condolence have been received b.v the family from all parts of the Dominion. including messages from his Excellency the Governor and Ministers ot tho Crown. The funeral procession was very lengthy, being over ono mile. Mr A. Boyle (of Pync and Co.) and Mrs Boyle, accompanied Miss Mona. Pyne, who was tno only relative present .at tho funeral. The bearers wqjo tlio six oldest members oi the staff of Pyne and Co., Messrs H. W. Jennings, il. D. Macdonald, W. J. A\oocl, A. H. Noall, V. 0. Carter, and C. .1. Wilson. The employees of Pyne and Co. followed the hearse. The funeral service was conducted by the Kev. F. X. Taylor, vicar of St. Luke's, who was assisted by the Rev. H. T. York, vicar of Upper Riccarton Church.
