* | MILS SHIRLEY'S I>EATH. ; \n inrpicst was held at Barr Hill on Wednesday, touching the death of Mrs E. H, Shirley, v,ho was killed the previous day through the overturning of a motor-ear. Mr Walter Goodwin, J.P.. acted as Coroner. Joseph Taylor, junr.. farmer, of Lauriston, stated lie was within three or four chains of Mr Shirley's car when the accident occurred. Ho endeavoured to right the vehicle so as to extricate the deceased, but was unable to do so until further assistance was obtained. The road had recently been reshingled. At the time of the accident Mr Shirley was driving at the vato of not more than, twelve miles per hour. , Mr Taylor's evidence was corroborated by Mr Shirley. Dr. Sands gave evidence that she last maw deceased on November 2.3(d, when bho was suffering from bronchitis. with slight earcliae trouble. This was the cause of death.
