Sfte was not entered in the Great Northern Derby, and she is at present enjoying an easy time, having done practically nothing since she raced in the Derby and Oaks early in the month. • She will doubtless be in active commission again before long, with a view to autumn engagements. The Fordell trained F. Tilley was for some time £\t a loss to account • for Bonnv Helen's disinclination to finish at the end of her races latolv. She was very well at the C.J.C. Mectincc. but proved a great disanpointment. It has now been discovered that the mare is suffering from a growth in her nose, and shortly an operation will be performed that will remove the trouble.
