ST. MARTS CHURCH, MERIVALE.

DISTRIBUTION OF SUNDAY SCHOOL PRIZES. The annual distribution of prizes to the scholars attending St. Mary** Sunday School, Merivalc, took place on Sunday afternoon. There- was a large attendance of parents. In a brief addrese the acting-vicar, the Rev. D. Rankin, drew attention to the fact that a first prize was awarded for 95 per cent, of the possible marks, a second prise for 90 per cent., and a third prize for 85 per cent. In addition, a number of children who, for various reasons, had failed to reach the required number of marks would be awarded special prizes. Mr Rankin then presented the prizes as follow: — First Class Prizes.—Enid Minty, Edna Caven, Nita Batey, Alwyn Austin, Nina Perkins, Doris Watson, Nellie Baker, Mavis Batey, Milly Butler, Edna Pearce, Ruby Baker, Jean McKenzie, Rhoda Pearce, Jean galloon. Gracie Parr, Ronald Rastrick, Jack Rose, Graham Parr, Freddie Rose, Bert Falloon. Second Class Prizes.—Nancy Rastrick, Ophir Caven, Clara Merritt, Kathleen Joyce,' Birdie Bryden, Irene Falloon. Marjorie Best, Jack Merritt, Lance Shand, Ronald Stewart Gordon Merritt, Charlie Rose. ' Third Class Prizes.—Marjorie Wilson, Avril Robinson. Joan Drury, Ruby Deverson, Judy Bourn, Nancy Eastwood, Svbil Webleyl Geoffrey Hobba, Frank Kay, Terence Max Best, Allan Kay, Gordon Perkins.
