KAIAPOI CYCLING CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. Tho nineteenth annual meeting of tho Kaiapoi Cycling Club waa held laat night, Mr L. B. Evans (vice-president) in the chair. There wae a large attendance of members. Ii was reported that during the year the club h«ld a patriotio sports meeting, which resulted in £'229 being handed to the Patriotic Fund; the club also assisted at the Belgian Carnival. The following members had left for the front:—C. A. Ashley, L. G. Blackwcll, W. G. Blackwell, H, D. Cooksley, Jt. Briytow, H. Ellen, A. Gray, H. W. Joslen, G. Lynekey, J. F. Miller, C. Merrin, J. Puraie, F. Shaw, C. Woolford, and F. Wyiie. It was decided that memhetrs who have gone or are going to tho front ho made life members, and that their namee bo in'scribed on a roll of honour to l» placed in th« club room. The election of officer* resiilfed :—Patron, Hon. D. Buddo, M.P.; president, Mr It. Evans; vice-prcsidente, Hon. R. Moore, Mcesrs J. W. Barnard, J. H. Blackwell, H. A. Cooper, J. Morley, J. L. Coalan, T. Power, L. B. Evans, T. R. Leithead, and F. L. Parnham; captain, E. Monk; vicenaptain, H. W. Farrar; secretary, Mr J. Stanton: treasurer, Mr G. McGregor; committee, Messrs J. Bowden, W. Sparks, W. Reeves, A. H. Pcarce. R. Barnard, G*. K. Thornton; auditors, Mrasrs R. Wright and J. L. Conlan; delegate to North Canterbury Athletic and Cycling Union. Mr A. H. Pearce; delegate to Sports Protection Association. Mr T. Knox; fo PaTk Committee, Messrs J. Bowden and L; B. livans. Mr J. A. Mcaiings, the retiring secretary, was elected a life member of the club. During tho aummer months tho coramittee. w,ith tho assistance of Messrs J. H. Williains, L. Moore, R. Wright, and J. A. Mealing!), agTeed to conduct the rooms themselves and to contribute the usual oost of ■"pkeep—7s 6d per week—to the Red Cross Ftiud.
