MEDICAL EXAMINATION".

Several applicants lor service with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force wero medically examined at the King Edward Barracks last night. The only incident of noto was that of a man who calmly informed tho recruiting officers that he wished t'> bo examined prior to proceeding to Australia to enlist. H e was told that this would bo of no avail, us he would liavo to bo examined again in Australia. 110 replied that ho wished to be examined hero in order to ascertain whether it would bo worth his while going .across.
