There ar© only five officers in this huge boat, and you can imagine we feel lost. I am much fitter how; my waist is 30 inches and my weight a little over 10s t. W© all wish this awful war was over, but it is in God's hands, and w*» are ! doing our plain duty. I got a fireman to wash mv only towel. I had been nsinrr it fo 1 six woeka. and it was BLACK. June 11th.—"I am just off back after a week's splendid holiday. I am very fit and well, and clean after a week's baths—real soap and fresh water. I got a fireman to do some washing for mc, co am terribly well off."
