A Petrograd message states that General yon Hindcnburg and Goneral yon Mackensen are both threatened with complete defeat in thoir contemplated coup on Warsaw. The German force is temporarily abandoning its forward movement, and has been forced to protect its flank, and is curling back to tho tonguo of tho column to lend an effective resistance to the Russian blows which havo weakened the line. Experts say that the situation and conditions aro strikingly similar to thoso obtaining before Paris when Gen- ' era! yon Klucfc's army was saved from ' annihilation only by a rapid doubling i back.
