CONCERT AT PREBBLETON.
A concert in aid of the Belgium Relief Fund waa held iv Prebbleton on' Tuesday evening, iklien a. party from Chrjatcliureh, organised by Mr O. T. J. Alpere, contributed a programme which was greatly appreciated by « largo audience. Musical items were (riven by Mcsdnmee Vernon and JolJ, und Miss D. Mitchell, Miss Hilda Nixon, Messrs V. Buchanau, C. Jell, W. Joll, and Kodman, and an oxhibition of conjuring by Mr L. Cookson, Dimnjj tho ■ evening Mr ..Alpcra gave a atirrinpr recruitiriK address. A lamb. presented by Miss llena Patersorr refilised £22 ICe at nuctiou. and two pigs given by Mr H. Shadbolt. n, bas oi acorns given by Miss Elizabeth Webb, and two pairs of socks given by Mrs J. S. Probblo brought very satisfactory prices. The Belgium Fund will benefit by over' £'45 as a result of the concert.
