THE SUBMARINE ASSASSINS.
RUSSIAN STEADIER SUNK. OFF THE IRISH COAST. (Received May 3rd, 12.10 a.m.) LONDON', May 1. , The German submarine U 23 torpedoed the Russian coal steamer Svoroao off the Kerry Coast. She sank in
twelve minutes. The crew were saved in the ship's boats. The Svorono, formerly the British steamer Radiance, was a steamer of 3102 tons gross register, built at Sunderland in 1906, and owned by Messrs F. C. Svorono and E. di Pollone, of Mariupol, Russia. Kerry is a county in the south-west of Ireland.
