Tragedy King snd Black Northern may be tho beat supported for tho Brighton Hurdlea. Deoert Gold's form is better than that of any of the other probablo starters, in the Groat Northern Champagne Stakes. Downham should prove the best threa-year-old in the E—tor Handicap, and Tote-a-Tete may bo Mr Lowry'a representative of others of that age to stand up to the locally-owned ones. Astor is without a rider so far, hut should he -ro to the poet, he and King Lupin and Merry Roo may be the most likely to give Mr Watt's colt a race. . Red Book (ralloped very well on Saturday, but was. no match for tho chestnut at any stago of a really solid mile. Astor, Tact. Blueetone. Goldfire, Belasco, and Colonel Soult are a half dozen in tho President's Handicap claiming prior engagements.
