SYDNEY. April 2. j Captain Bean cables:— "Conversing j with Sir lan Hamilton after the in- j epeetion of the Australasian troops, I j asked him if he had noticed any change j since his inspection a year ago at the j other end of the world." I Sir lan Hamilton replied: "It was a j most gratifying sight. They are now j trained troo;>s. steady and disciplined. : Tho officers understand how to give ; orders, and not merely su-jsestions. I j am sure tho men have grown siuce j their arrival in Egypt. Hard work and j open air iv this splendid climate have made them bigger and stronger men.
